AIDS Walk Brought Us Together

Hannah Sporer posted May 15, 2015

When I was introduced to Ubuntu two years ago, I felt an immediate connection. I come from a background in human rights, and I led a human rights group in high school and in college. Ubuntu combines my two passions: helping those in need and ensuring that all children can have equal access to education. As an educator, Ubuntu's ethos resonates strongly with me.

Hannah's AIDS Walk story

When a friend and I joined the Ubuntu AIDS Walk team in 2013, we never imagined it would bring us together in such a meaningful way, and that we would fall in love! Over the 6 mile walk, we established a bond over our mutual interests and a passion for social change. Now, my boyfriend and I are looking forward to participating in our third AIDS Walk this year as part of #TeamUbuntu.
