Welcome to Ubuntu's new website

Jordan Levy, Sam Yu posted November 23, 2011

We are excited to launch Ubuntu’s website. When we began planning this site, our team sat in the new Ubuntu Centre and looked at the incredible work going on around us. We felt very strongly that we need to share our inspiring work with all of you who have been with us and supported us over the last 12 years. Every day, there is a new story that moves us. This website is our way of sharing.

I’d like to thank Press Play Productions, Vance Jacobs, Simon Isaacs, Ignition and Convio as well as the Ubuntu team for their work in making this a reality.  I’d also like to thank Defrancis Carbone who led the development of our new logo.

Our biggest challenge was selecting which images and stories would best represent Ubuntu because there are simply too many to chose from. Ultimately, we curated a site that we believe provides a glimpse into our world.

Please take a tour around our website and take a look at what we see every day—children and their families overcoming seemingly impossible odds to make amazing achievements. We are excited to share our programs and results with you. I urge you to check out our innovative BUILD program that is developing our team into leaders and role models of an organization, a community and a country. In our impact section, we highlight key metrics that further quantify and validate the effectiveness of the Ubuntu Model.

Please read our stories and join us in celebrating the spirit of ubuntu.

Welcome to Ubuntu's new web site
