We are proud to announce the building of The Ubuntu Centre, a 20,000 square foot environmentally-friendly complex set to open in 2009. The Ubuntu Centre will allow us to expand and better integrate all existing programmes by providing centrally-located, free and accessible social services under one roof. On May 14th, 2008, Rent on Broadway will host a cocktail party at The Canal Room for Ubuntu Education Fund to honor the legacy of Rent’s writer and creator, Jonathan Larson. The goal is to support the multi-purpose hall and theater that will be part of The Ubuntu Centre.
