Ubuntu's first ever Bake for Health Sales Initiative for World AIDS Day has been a phenomenal success. Starting on December 1st, 125 groups around the world held bake sales at schools, churches, synagogues and offices to raise awareness and funds for our Mpilo-Lwazi program. Participants spent hours baking and preparing for their sales, and so far have raised $21,600!

One school suffered a total power outage on the day of their sale - undaunted, they have gone ahead and rescheduled the whole thing for this week. Another family made over $900 selling cookies, pies and breads out of their garage. We had two online bake sales (one of which has raised over $2000 so far) and even a sale of "virtual" cookies.

The entire Ubuntu team extends our thanks to all the participants for their hard work and dedication. We'll keep updating the information as more results come in!
